I hope many of you took the opportunity to come out and watch the Canadian Amateur event we co-hosted this week. There was some spectacular golf! With the tournament now over, we are getting back on a regular cutting schedule. With that being said, we still have to play a little bit of catch up on the roughs. Therefore, there might be a few spots here and there that are still long during the weekend.
Golf Canada changed a couple of our normal course markings for the event. They didn’t play the right side of #7 as a lateral hazard, and they brought back the lateral water hazard around the reservoir pond to simply circle around the pond. We typically have it at the bottom of the hill on #13, and we include the bushes on the left side of 14 as a hazard. We will have these back to normal for the weekend, but keep in mind that you will still be able to see the red paint from their previous markings. The hazard in play will be marked with the red stakes on the new painted line.
I wish everyone a fantastic weekend.
